The 84th Annual Dogwood Festival

Josephine Koeck, Editor-in-Chief

It’s official: spring is here! The days are longer, flowers are blooming, warmer days means summer is approaching. Fairfield’s dogwood trees are flowering, just in time for the dogwood festival this Friday.

This year is the 84th festival filled with games, music, and lots of vendors. Local artists sell their jewelry, paintings, art, and more fun trinkets on Greenfield Hill Congregational Church’s green. All proceeds from the festival go towards local, national and international charities. The festival is open 10-5 this Friday and Saturday, and 11-5 on Sunday.

All three days will host an assortment of music performances including The Angry O’Haras, GHCC House Band and more.

The Dogwood Mini Dash will be hosted Saturday morning at 10:30 and afterwards you can grab some food from the tent. This year Cinch will be serving food from the tent, and there are plenty of other vendors selling sweet treats to get dessert afterwards!
