As society modernizes and continues the expansion of technology, we have now begun to face the consequences. As you walk down the street, you notice every person carrying around hundreds of dollars worth of technology. With major tech companies like Apple and Microsoft, we now see electronic devices everywhere we turn. This use of technology has grown out of hand over the years, causing not only an addiction, but resulting in the infertility of many men and women.
Laptops have many benefits, providing both ease and efficiency, however, they are now being exposed for tarnishing reproductive health. The heat, the electromagnetic fields, and the WiFi radiofrequency radiation all contribute to the infertility of people all over the world, but the real harm is the length one is using their computer. Due to the exposure of radiofrequency radiation during pregnancy, it can produce changes in fetal heart function and changes in hormone levels, this can negatively affect fetal development, resulting in miscarriages and other issues. The radiation can also damage the uterus lining, decrease ovulation, interfere with estrogen production and developing eggs, and negatively affect the fetus’s heart.
The growing use of computers can result in many concerning effects on the body, specifically on young women. The more that society continues to use electronics, the more at risk our bodies will be in terms of reproduction. However, women aren’t the only ones at risk from technology.
Men also suffer from the risk of electronics on their fertility. The heat that laptops create can elevate the scrotum’s temperature, leading to infertility. Using a laptop can produce scrotal temperature increases because of heat and posture. Radiofrequency radiation can also harm male fertility, leading to changes in reproductive hormone levels, changes in sperm cell form and structure, and a decrease in sperm quality.
As we continue to study technology, we will begin to expose its negative effects. It can be concluded that the increased use of technology, specifically laptops, can create infertility, leading to problems for future generations. With the growth of electronic devices, society must work together to find ways to reduce this issue or our future will be in trouble. Both men and women suffer from this growing disease and without a solution, everyone will pay the price.
